For the joy of all chain smokers, before the ratification of anti-smoke laws in Italy. A large chain of restaurants in Italy kindly asked everyone to simply "smoke with moderation" ("fumare con moderazione") while at the bar. The sign was even funnier in English, where "smoke slightly" could be interpreted as a kind request not to smoke less, but to smoke less stinky cigarettes, or inhaling less.

Per la gioia di tutti i fumatori accaniti [letteralmente: "fumatori a catena"], prima dell'entrata in vigore delle leggi antifumo in Italia. Una grande catena di ristoranti in Italia chiedeva gentilmente a tutti semplicemente di "fumare con moderazione" ("smoke with moderation") mentre ci si trovava al bar. Il cartello era ancora piu buffo in inglese, dove "smoke slightly" poteve essere interpretato come una cortese richiesta non a fumare meno, ma a fumare sigarette mano puzzolenti, o aspirando meno.
